General rules
Dear visitors, we want you all to have a good and safe experience when you visit Aarhus Øje. Therefore, we have these rules of order, which must be observed when you visit us:
- No dispensing to persons under 18 years of age.
- It is not permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs in Aarhus Øje.
- A ticket must be purchased to gain access to the viewing platform in the tower and the exhibition Byen og Bugten.
- Young people under the age of 16 may only visit Aarhus Øje together with an adult or if an agreement has been made with the staff.
- The staff can reject people if they assess that they will not contribute positively to the experience in Aarhus Øje.
- You must show respect for the residents of Lighthouse and respect that there is no access to the residential areas in the building.
- Access is only possible with the designated elevators. This means that it is not possible to use the stairs in the tower.
- Jumping in the elevators is vandalism and may result in a police report.
- In the event of an evacuation, the lifts will be reserved for people with special needs as well as elderly people and families with children in the order listed.
- Things such as fireworks, video equipment and drones, sound recorders, pets, laser pens, banners, umbrellas, large bags and folding chairs are not allowed to be brought into Aarhus Øje.
- You may not bring food or drinks.
- Smoking, e-cigarettes and puff bars are not permitted - not even in the toilets. The toilets are monitored with smoke alarms, and if they are activated, the entire building must be evacuated.
- Recommendation of bags, jackets, etc. is forbidden.
- It is permitted to take pictures and record movies for private use. On the other hand, commercial use of photos and films recorded in Aarhus Øje requires written permission.
- It is not allowed to sit on each other's shoulders on the viewing platform.
- Loose clothing must be secured before going out onto the viewing platform.
- Glass, bottles etc. from the restaurant may not be taken out onto the viewing platform.
- It is not permitted to push or stick objects over the glass protection on the viewing platform.
- The viewing platform is closed if there is a risk of lightning and thunder or other weather conditions that are considered to have an impact on safety. If the viewing platform is closed, you must follow the staff's instructions.
- Throwing objects from the viewing platform is strictly prohibited. Doing so is vandalism and can result in very serious personal injury.
- The play installations on the ground floor and in the exhibition downstairs are reserved for children.
- When you visit Aarhus Øje, your visit as a regular guest at the top is expected to last 20 minutes. If you are a restaurant guest, the length of your visit will vary in relation to the restaurant's menu.
- Common to the time intervals is the staff's ability to enforce these in relation to the flow of guests.
Please note that for security reasons there is video surveillance on the viewing platform.
The view

Always follow the staff's instructions. It is their job to ensure a good and safe experience for everyone.
We encourage all visitors to be considerate of each other and help maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere. This also applies to the residents of Lighthouse and the surrounding area.
